CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - This weekend, many of you will celebrate all things Irish, even though St. Patrick's Day isn't until Monday. But that's not the ONLY thing happening this weekend around the Lowcountry.
Get ready to hear some good tales as the Charleston Tells Storytelling Festival returns this weekend to Wragg Square in downtown Charleston. Local, regional, and even national storytellers will entertain throughout the day Saturday. Festival registration and the marketplace open at 9:30 a.m. Performances run back-t0-back from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can also settle in for an evening of storytelling from 7-9:30 p.m. Stories could be historical, magical, humorous, or even nostalgic. 15TH ANNUAL CHARLESTON BLACK EXPO
Businesses with services and products catering to the African-American community will fill the Charleston Area Convention Center this weekend. The 15th Annual Charleston Black Expo is Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Top guests this year include Radio & TV hosts Michael Baisden, Gospel Artist Ricky Dillard, Actor Boris Kodjoe, and Hip Hop Pioneer Kool Moe Dee. Tickets are $15 for adults, $6 for kids 5-12, and 4 & under are Free. For more information, go to the event website.
CHARLESTON CO. PARKS CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY
If you're looking for some outside adventure, Charleston County Parks & Recreation invites to enjoy any of the county parks for Free Sunday, March 16, 2014. CITADEL BLUE & WHITE GAME
Football fans will get their first look at The Citadel's fast-paced offense under new head coach Mike Houston Saturday. The Bulldogs will host the annual Blue and White Spring Game. The game starts at 1 p.m. at Johnson Hagood Stadium. The game follows the annual Beautiful Bulldog Contest. Check in for the dogs starts at 11:30 a.m. with judging at Noon.
