Three arrested on drug charges at Summerville hotel

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County deputies say three people were arrested Friday after it was discovered they were dealing drugs outside a Summerville hotel.

Brandon Kirby, 27, Amber Ghassmzadeh, 28, and Thomas Fox, 34, were all arrested on drug charges.

Deputies say the three suspects were detained after officials observed a hand-to-hand drug deal in the parking lot of Comfort Suites. One of the suspects was in possession of 9 grams of methamphetamine.

A release states officials obtained a search warrant after it was discovered the suspects were staying in a room at the hotel.

Inside the room, officials say they uncovered three handguns along with a large amount of ammunition, 15 grams of marijuana, and two sheets of LSD.

Kirby was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of LSD, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Ghassmzadeh was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of LSD. Fox was charged with manufacture and distribution of a form of methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute LSD.
