Duo sought for armed robbery at James Island CVS pharmacy

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Investigators are on the lookout for two men who robbed a pharmacy on James Island this past weekend.

On Sunday night Charleston police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the CVS on 1739 Maybank Hwy. The two employees told police that two men armed with a gun had entered the business and demanded cash.

According to one of the victims, as she and her co-worker were closing the store, a man wearing a hoodie and dark clothing entered the store. Police say the suspect was wearing a black mask with eye holes, and had a gun. The co-worker told police that the gun did not appear to have an ammunition magazine.

The suspect then told the victim,"Get down. Get the money. Open the safe."

Authorities say the other suspect entered the store 20 seconds later.

A police report states the first suspect followed the victim behind the cash register where he took cash.

The suspect then told the employees to get down as the suspects left the store.
