JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Airport officials with Charleston International confirm an international flight out of New York's JFK Airport had to make an emergency stop at Joint Base Charleston early Tuesday morning.
Officials say the landing was because of a medical emergency.
The flight stopped at Joint Base and not Charleston International because ground crews were not at the airport at that hour, according to officials.
Charleston County Dispatch confirms EMS responded.
