Report: Trio arrested after woman attempts to destroy meth lab evidence

Posted: Updated:
CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office has arrested three people after investigators say a woman attempted to destroy evidence of a meth lab at a home in Adams Run.

Authorities arrested 50-year-old Tracey Turner Grooms, 35-year-old Stephen Joshua Burbage and 28-year-old Krystle Lehan Wolfe.

According to affidavits, the trio's arrest stems from an investigation on Tuesday where authorities responded to a home on Garden Lane.

Investigators say as they were conducting a knock and talk at the home, detectives at the rear of the home saw numerous people leaving the residence.

An arrest warrant states that Wolfe also admitted to throwing a meth cook pot when she learned the detectives were at the home.

Investigators say a meth lab was subsequently located in the home, and items consistent with a lab were located in a burn pit in the backyard.
