An Antioch man is facing charges after allegedly storing drugs near a school.
Osman Omer was arrested on Tuesday night for having more than 15 pounds of the drug Khat, some of which had been packaged for resale, at his home on the 1500 block of Hickory Hollow Terrace.
On Wednesday, detectives searched the 33-year-old's storage unit on the 2700 block of Murfreesboro Pike and say they seized about 107 pounds of the drug.
The Schedule I drug Khat comes from a shrub native to East Africa and southern Arabia. The leaves from the shrub are chewed and held in the cheek like chewing tobacco.
Omer is charged with drug possession in a drug-free school zone.
He is being held on a $50,000 bond.
