NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - North Charleston Police say they have identified a suspect in a fatal Tuesday night shooting.
Police say officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 2600 block of Woodlawn Avenue. They found a male victim with a single gunshot wound lying in the driveway. According to a release, the victim was transported to MUSC where he later died of his injuries.
Witnesses told police the victim and another male were engaged in an altercation when the victim was shot by a handgun. The shooter was seen fleeing the area in a white Buick Park Avenue, witnesses told police.
Police say they have identified a suspect, but are not releasing the name.
The name of the victim has also not been released.
The shooting remains under investigation by North Charleston Police.
