The South Carolina Aquarium released two large loggerhead sea turtles back into the ocean Wednesday after undergoing nearly 10 months of care.

The turtles, Miss Royal and Nud, were brought to the South Carolina Aquarium Sea Turtle Rescue Program in June 2013 due to medical issues, according to a release. Miss Royal, 215-pound loggerhead, was suffering from a propeller wound, while 71-pound Nud had a skin infection.

Both turtles caught a boat ride out to the Gulf Stream Wednesday where they were released back into the wild.
