JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - The culture of the Louisiana Bayou will hit James Island County Park this weekend as the 23rd Annual Lowcountry Cajun Festival returns to Charleston.
The Cajun Festival will be held Sunday, April 6 from noon to 6 p.m. Crawfish, gumbo, and plenty of other authentic Cajun and Creole dishes will be flowing at the event, which will also feature live Zydeco music and activities for the kids.
In addition to the food and music, there will also be mechanical carnival rides, inflatables, and a craft market. A Crawfish Eating Contest for the adults is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
Tickets for the Lowcountry Cajun Festival are $10 for adults. Children 12 and under get in free, as do Gold Pass holders.
