N. Charleston man arrested after allegedly stabbing teen in back

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

A 34-year-old North Charleston man was arrested Sunday afternoon after reportedly stabbing a 16-year-old boy in the back during a brawl. 

Paul Williams has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife during a violent crime. 

According to an incident report, the stabbing took place in the 4800 block of Upjohn Road around 4 p.m. A witness told police a fight broke out in the road between two different families. That is when Williams allegedly ran up to the fight and stabbed the teen in his back. 

The victim was transported by EMS to MUSC.

Williams is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center on a $125,000 bond.
