Charleston wind energy forum postponed

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A forum on developing wind energy off the coast of the Carolinas has been postponed.

The South Carolina Clean Energy Business Alliance had planned the meeting for Tuesday on the North Charleston campus where Clemson has its wind turbine test facility. Officials said the event would be rescheduled for a later date.

Elizabeth Colbert-Busch, the director of business development at the turbine center, had planned to discuss a new report that encourages the federal government to open areas off the coast for wind energy development.

Southeastern Coastal Wind Coalition president Brian O'Hara was also scheduled to speak at the meeting.
