Bond set at $100k for man accused of robbing, sexually assaulting teenager

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Bond was set at $100,000 on Tuesday for a 22-year-old man accused of robbing and sexually assaulting a teenager.

Officials with the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office say Tevin Deas has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and armed robbery in connection to a Nov. 22, 2013 incident.

“Tevin Thomas Deas will have his day in court stemming from Nov. 22 charges that he sexually assaulted and robbed an 18-year-old woman at an abandoned property on Jamison Avenue," Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said."Deas has been detained in Atlanta since his Dec. 11 arrest by the US Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force at a Washington Road apartment complex.”

“The collaborative efforts of OCSO officers and the US Marshals Service has benefited our agency once again to return a fugitive to this county to face the crimes he committed against our citizen," Ravenell said.
