CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston Police need the public's help in identifying a man they say used a stolen credit card at a downtown gas station.
The man was caught on surveillance camera at a Meeting Street gas station and a Charleston Police spokesman says he is wanted for using a credit card reported stolen during a home burglary on March 28.
That burglary occurred at a Charleston apartment, where the victim told police she discovered her Apple MacBook laptop and her purse had been stolen while she and her boyfriend were sleeping. Her purse, she said, contained a wallet with several credit cards. By the time she reported the robbery, the police report states, she had already confirmed fraudulent charges had begun appearing on the credit cards.
Anyone who can identify the man should call Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
