CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston Police arrested a suspect Thursday in a pair of burglaries in Downtown Charleston and James Island.

James Blake, Jr., 32, of Johns Island is charged with two counts of second degree burglary, police say.

Police believe Blake burglarized the Subway restaurant on Folly Road on March 28, entering and exiting the building through the drive-in window. Blake is also accused of using a brick to shatter the front door glass of the Calhoun Street Kangaroo gas station at around 12:30 a.m. Thursday and removing the cash register.

The investigation is ongoing, police say.

Blake was being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center, according to court records.
