North Charleston Police arrested three people while investigating a report that meth was being sold from a motel room.
Police say officers made contact with the three people inside a room at a Rivers Ave. motel shortly after 9 a.m. Friday, and initially saw no signs of an active meth lab.
Officers say they then noticed a bottle cap with an off-white substance in plain view on a table along with several hypodermic needles and took the three into custody. One told police that a "cook" had been done in the room the previous night.
The North Charleston Fire Department, the Charleston County Hazmat Team and EMS responded to the scene.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
