Voting open for Charleston County's mascot naming contest

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Charleston County Environmental Management's mascot naming contest has been narrowed down to four submissions, and now it is up to the public to vote for the winner. 

Voting for the new recycling mascot's name will be open from April 14-23. The public can choose from the following names:

  • Randy "Re-New" the Recycling Guru
  • Phil D. Bin
  • "Ollie," the All-In-One
  • Philup Cartaway

The winning name will be announced at the County's Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 26. The festival will be held at Riverfront Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
