NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - North Charleston Police gave the all-clear after investigating reports of a suspicious package at a Rivers Avenue shopping center.

Police say the package contained a water bottle and other items, but apparently did not pose any threat.

Businesses at the North 52 Square Shopping Center were evacuated as authorities investigate a report of a suspicious package.

According to police, a white male subject was seen exiting a vehicle and placing a suitcase on the ground at the shopping center on Rivers Avenue near NAD Road. Police say he then got back into the car and drove off.
