Charleston cancels Easter event over weather concerns

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The City of Charleston canceled its Easter EGGstravanza scheduled for Saturday morning over hazardous weather advisories.

The word came from a tweet from the city's Twitter account. The event was scheduled from 11 a.m. through 1 p.m. for children ages 12 and under at Hampton Park. 

A coastal flood advisory was issued from 9 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday, for low-lying coastal areas including downtown Charleston.
