SC police: Man beaten after shouting racial slurs

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina police say a man is recovering from a beating by dozens of men riled after he insulted women and shouted racial slurs.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports (http://bit.ly/1tpkMHS ) police were looking for men in the crowd that left the 33-year-old white man unconscious on the sidewalk. Myrtle Beach Police report witnesses as saying the man was intoxicated and shouting sexually offensive comments toward females and racial slurs toward two black men.

Police say the two men left and returned with dozens of their friends.
