Mt. Pleasant motorists using Johnnie Dodds Boulevard this week can expect lane closures and traffic shifts due to scheduled landscaping work.
Charleston County officials say crews will be replacing plants that are under warranty April 23-28 as part of the Johnnie Dodds Boulevard Improvement Project. The work will run from the I-526 interchange to the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge.
The daytime lane closures will affect southbound lanes from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays from Wednesday, April 23 through Monday, April 28. Northbound lane closures will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. over the same dates.
Officials say two lanes of traffic will remain open at all times in both directions.
Drivers should also expect temporary daytime lane closures on the East and West Frontage Roads from McGrath Darby Boulevard to Bowman Road from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the same dates.
