Authorities searching for an armed robbery suspect found a meth lab in Moncks Corner.
The Moncks Corner Police Department says officers with their department and the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office executed an arrest warrant at a home on Joey Lane on Wednesday for James Craven Jr. in connection to an armed robbery.
Investigators arrested Craven and located a meth lab behind the residence. Police charged Craven with armed robbery, and the sheriff's office is expected to issue charges of manufacturing methamphetamine.
In addition, police say they also arrested Jarret Craven who investigators say was involved with James Craven Jr. in an armed robbery last week.
On April 17, police responded to the Scotchman on East Main Street for an armed robbery.
Investigators say one of the suspects picked up merchandise to make a purchase. When the cashier rang up the goods, the suspect demanded all the money in the register and implied he had a gun.
Police say a review of the security camera revealed that one of the suspects and another man had been to the store several times that morning and bought beer. Following the robbery, authorities say both of the suspects fled the scene in an SUV.
Authorities say they received numerous tips from the community identifying the subjects as James Craven and Jarret Craven.
