CHARLESTON IN-WATER BOAT SHOW
If you have boating fever, get ready for the biggest in-boat water show between Maryland and Jacksonville! The Charleston In-Water Boat Show is here at the Bristol Marina and Brittlebank Park through the weekend. Whether you're looking for a first boat or an upgrade, you'll find plenty of choices! COLLETON COUNTY RICE FESTIVAL
You can celebrate part of our Lowcountry heritage at the Colleton County Rice Festival in Walterboro. The annual Rice Run and Walk starts Saturday at 8 am. The event will feature arts and crafts, food, live entertainment, and the All-American Lumberjack show begins at 1 pm. The festival runs through Sunday. EARTH DAY FESTIVAL
Earth Day was earlier this week, but North Charleston is celebrating with a festival Saturday at Riverfront Park. 7TH ANNUAL JAIL BREAK MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL
Go to Jail on Saturday in Charleston! The Old Jail on Magazine Street in downtown opens its doors for the 7th Annual Jail Break Music & Arts Festival. Local artists, dancers, musicians, and more will take over the jail for the event called "Optical Delusions." 5TH ANNUAL CHARLESTON BED RACE
The 5th Annual Charleston Bed Race is Sunday at Hampton Park. It starts with the parade of beds at Noon, followed by the race at 1:00 pm. The event helps raise money for Camp Happy Days, providing help and support to children diagnosed with cancer. Prizes will be awarded for Fastest Bed, Slowest Bed, Best Decorated Bed, Most Outrageously Decorated Bed, the "What Were You Thinking?" Bed, and the People's Choice Award. Find out more at
27TH ANNUAL BLESSING OF THE FLEET & SEAFOOD FESTIVAL
Sunday you can also help pay tribute to the local shrimping and fishing industry with the 27th Annual Blessing of the Fleet. The festival at Mount Pleasant's Waterfront Park is from 11:30 am to 6 pm. It includes a boat parade, the ceremonial blessing, plus seafood samples, entertainment, and dancing. This year's festival benefits East Cooper Meals on Wheels and the Charleston Port & Seafarers' Society.
