Trio from NC accused of selling heroin at Orangeburg gas station

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office has arrested three men accused of selling heroin at a gas station in Orangeburg County.

Investigators arrested 17-year-old Cedrick Alden Burnett, 24-year-old Frieson Wilson III and 23-year-old Marquan Kyemek Gibbs.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said deputies were called to a gas station on Vance Road in Bowman at 8:16 a.m. on Wednesday due to suspicious activity.

According to an incident report, a car had been at a gas pump for an hour and did not pull off. When authorities made contact with the vehicle, they reported smelling a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside.

Ravenell said investigators spoke to the subjects inside who could not provide the vehicle's owner's name or vehicle's registration.

The sheriff's office said there were also inconsistencies in the story why the subjects were in Orangeburg and where they were headed. Ravenell said investigators located a .22 caliber rifle wrapped in a jacket in the trunk.

According to authorities, when deputies searched Burnett, they found five individual packages of heroin were located in the sock.
