Police investigating after downtown Charleston shooting injures one

Charleston police are investigating a shooting in downtown Charleston Monday morning that sent one person to the hospital, according to authorities.

Police say the shooting took place near the intersection of Congress and Senate Streets around 11:15 a.m.

Investigators were spotted on scene placing around 14 evidence markers at the scene.

Officers say a male victim was injured, and has been taken to MUSC.

No word on the victim's condition at this time. No arrests have been made.
