CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Over 3,000 Lowcountry residents were temporarily without power as the first wave of potentially severe weather makes its way across the state.
Traffic signals along Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant were reported out at lunchtime are back up and running, police say.
According to SCE&G, thousands of customers in Charleston and Dorchester Counties who briefly lost power during the storms have since been brought back online.
The Berkeley County Electric Cooperative is reporting that outages are affecting fewer than 70 customers.
A severe weather threat has since diminished, but the chance of showers and storms continue into Wednesday evening and the chance of sporadic showers continues overnight.
