CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say they are working to determine the identity of a suspect who led police on a chase from Mt. Pleasant into Berkeley County Friday morning.
According to a release, a Mt. Pleasant police officer attempted to stop a vehicle for reckless driving near Oakland Market on Highway 17 around 10:26 a.m. when the driver sped away.
Police say the pursuit went from Highway 17 onto Highway 41 into Berkeley County where Mt. Pleasant police stopped chasing after the suspect.
Authorities say the suspect's vehicle was later found unoccupied on Green Bay Road in Berkeley County.
