Teen accused of sexually assaulting 14-year-old following concert

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Editor's Note: As of June 10, 2015, charges filed in this case were later dismissed or nol prossed or the defendant was found not guilty, court documents state.

Charleston police say a 17-year-old boy has been arrested accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old following a concert.

Authorities arrested the teen on Monday and charged him with second-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with an incident last month at a parking garage in downtown Charleston.

An affidavit states that on March 9, 2014, the 17-year-old drove a 14-year-old girl to a concert.

Investigators say following the performance, the suspect and the victim returned to his vehicle at a parking garage on Horlbeck Alley where the suspect allegedly forced the victim to touch his genitals. According to court records, the suspect also inappropriately touched the victim.
