COLUMBIA, SC (TheBigSpur.com) - South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw is now a member of the Cleveland Browns. After going undrafted, USC's all-time winningest quarterback agreed to a free agent deal with the Browns, which also drafted Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel with their first round pick.

Shaw posted a career record of 27-5 as a starter, which included a perfect 17-0 mark at Williams-Brice Stadium. During his final season with the Gamecocks, Shaw completed 180-of-284 passes for 2,447 yards and 24 touchdowns while throwing just one interception. Shaw also rushed 154 times for 558 yards and six touchdowns.

USC defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles also signed a free agent contract with the New York Giants.

Quarles, who was four years out of high school, played a year of football at Fork Union before joining the South Carolina program for the 2011 season. He was a first-team All-American by Sporting News as a senior and a second-team All-American by four other outlets.

The Greenwood native was one of four team captains and started 11 of the 12 games he played in during the 2013 season. He was fourth in the SEC with 13.5 tackles for a loss, third in the league with 9.5 tackles and tops in both categories amongst defensive tackles.
