Motorcyclist dies in North Branford crash

NORTH BRANFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A motorcyclist has died after a crash in North Branford on Sunday morning.

The two-car crash happened on Foxon Rd. between Totoket and Shaw Roads at about 10:17 a.m.

According to police, the investigation into the crash revealed that a car was driving westbound behind the motorcycle and struck the rear of that motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle suffered severe trauma from the impact and was treated at the scene by the North Branford Fire Department.

The motorcyclist was brought to Yale-New Haven Hospital and later died.

There were no other injuries reported from this accident.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the South Central Regional Accident Reconstruction Team.
