CPD seeks to identify suspect in credit card theft

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly used a stolen credit card to make nearly $100 worth of purchases.

Authorities say the suspect used the stolen credit card on May 11 to make purchases from JoJo's Quick Stop located at 3312 Rivers Avenue. He also purchased a cell phone and phone card from Family Dollar located at 3315 Rivers Avenue.

A report states a total of $94.68 from four different stores was charged to the credit card.

The victim told police he woke up on May 11 after spending the previous night out in Downtown Charleston to find his wallet, cell phone, and car keys were missing.

The suspect in the picture is wearing a blue and white striped polo shirt, khaki pants, and white and red Nike shoes. He is also wearing a white and blue "CAROLINA" hat.
