ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Investigators say they are searching for an Orangeburg County man who took off on a 4-wheeler as deputies discovered several stolen vehicles on his property.

The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office is looking for 39-year-old George Sean Wilson of Norway, SC, wanted on warrants for receiving stolen goods and tampering with a VIN.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said his officers were contacted by investigators from Barnwell and Bamberg counties who said they believed Wilson had information regarding stolen items.

When officers arrived at Wilson's home on Henry Road last Thursday, Ravenell said no one answered at the home. Officers then obtained a search warrant, returned to the home and located a Jeep Grand Cherokee whose VIN and license plates had two different registered owners.

Ravenell said officers also found a Polaris 4-wheeler stolen from Orangeburg County, a Honda dirt bike stolen from Richland County, a Harley Davidson stolen out of Barnwell County  and a Kawasaki motorcycle.

According to an incident report, a semi automatic pistol with a homemade silencer and a gun safe were also seized.

Ravenell said Wilson is believed to have returned to his home, and left on a 4-wheeler after seeing law enforcement officers on his property.

Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at (803) 534-3550 or Crime Stoppers at (888) CRIME-SC.
