Heavy rain will be a threat for the afternoon commute as a storm system moves across South Carolina.
A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for parts of North Carolina and Virginia, but not in South Carolina.
"The severe weather threat for us is pretty low and widespread severe weather isn’t expected. A storm with damaging winds or even an isolated tornado is still possible through the afternoon," Meteorologist Justin Lock said.
At 12:32 p.m., Live Super Doppler MAX showed two batches of heavy rain closing in on Charleston from the south and southwest.
