CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - An early morning accident on St. Andrews Blvd. heading towards Old Towne Road has resulted in ongoing traffic delays and power outages.
Charleston County Dispatch confirms Charleston police responded to an accident on St. Andrews Blvd. heading inbound to Old Towne Road early Friday morning. The accident reportedly caused a vehicle to hit a utility pole, contributing to ongoing power outages in the area.
At 5:45 a.m. Friday, the electric company reports four incidents have caused the power outages to 129 customers. At one time Friday morning, SCE&G reported over 5,500 customers without power in Charleston County.
Traffic in the area is being rerouted as crews work to restore power completely.
