Matt Van Scyoc, who was kicked out of The Citadel last month after an honor code violation will be transferring to Indiana State he confirmed in a message to Live 5 on Friday.
The forward, who averaged over 14 points and 5 rebounds last season, will have to sit out a season due to NCAA transfer rules.
"It's a great opportunity to play in the Missouri valley." Van Scyoc said. "I trust their coaching staff just as I did with coach (Chuck) Driesell and the staff here. I feel I will develop the most under their group, as well as win at a high level."
Van Scyoc said he also strongly thought about just going across town to play at the College of Charleston. He also considered Liberty, Coastal Carolina, USC Upstate and Appalachian State.
