GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - Georgetown County Sheriff's Investigators arrested a 17-year-old in connection with a burglary at a church.

Collin Stanley Thompson, Jr., is charged with one count of second-degree burglary, deputies say. The charge is in connection with a burglary at Cornerstone Baptist Church on Brick Chimney Road, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

Deputies responded at about 10 a.m. Sunday to a report of a burglary at the church, and say the suspect entered the church by breaking the glass doors, then ransacked various  rooms and discharged multiple fire extinguishers. A laptop computer and food products were also stolen, the report states.

Investigators say they expect additional charges for two juveniles.

Thompson was transported to the Georgetown Detention Center, deputies say.
