Police searching for suspects in N. Charleston gas station robbery

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a North Charleston gas station Monday morning.

Officials with the North Charleston Police Department say shortly after 10 a.m. officers responded to the Kangaroo Express on 5154 N. Rhett Ave. in reference to a business robbery.

The clerk said she was on the phone when she heard a voice saying, "Give me the money."

When the clerk looked up, she saw a white male with a dark shirt covering his face at the counter, and a second white male holding the door open. Police say the second suspect also had a shirt covering his face.

Once the clerk gave one of the suspects money, both of the suspects left in the direction of Sherwood. Police say neither of the suspects took out a weapon or inferred they had a weapon.
