Former Berkeley and South Carolina star Bruce Ellilngton agreed to a 4 year contract with the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Ellington, a 5-9, 197-pound wide receiver from Moncks Corner, S.C., was the Gamecocks’ top receiver in 2013 with 49 catches for 75 yards and eight touchdowns. During his career, he logged 106 receptions for 1,586 yards and 16 touchdown catches. A two-sport standout, Ellington was a three-year starter on the hardwood, averaging over 11 points per game for the Carolina men’s basketball team. He earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman team in both football and basketball.Ellington was taken in the 4th round with the 106th overall pick.
