COLUMBIA, SC (WCSC) - A bill signed by Gov. Nikki Haley means the school year for students in Dorchester and Berkeley Counties will end on Friday.
Haley signed legislation waiving two planned make-up days scheduled on Monday, June 2 and Tuesday, June 3.
The legislation only applies to Dorchester District 2 and Berkeley County students in the Lowcountry. Spartanburg County students were also part of the plan.
Dorchester District 4 students will attend school through Wednesday, June 4.
