NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Investigators with the North Charleston Police Department say nearly $200,000 in cash was recovered during an investigation on Friday.
The investigation began when officers responded to 9345 Blue House Road around 6 a.m. following a complaint of illegal drug activity.
Police say a search warrant was obtained and executed after marijuana was found in plain view in the apartment.
Investigators report that during a search of the apartment and the suspect’s vehicles, investigators recovered a quantity of marijuana, two firearms and $183,649 in cash.
The suspect Karl D. Hugee of 9345 Blue House Road was arrested, charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and locked up at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
