South Carolina football will host the East Carolina Pirates on Saturday, September 6, at 7 p.m. ET. The game will be televised nationally on either ESPN2 or ESPNU, it was announced today.
The Gamecocks lead the all-time series with East Carolina by a 12-5 margin, including a 2-0 mark under head coach Steve Spurrier. The teams last met on September 8, 2012 in Columbia, with the Gamecocks rolling to a 48-10 victory.
Game times have now been announced for each of the Gamecocks’ first three games of the 2014 season, with all three contests set for Williams-Brice Stadium. Carolina will host Texas A&M at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 28, in the first contest to be televised on the SEC Network. The September 13 contest against Georgia will kick at 3:30 p.m. ET and be televised nationally on CBS.?
