SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - State Highway Patrol confirms that all eastbound lanes on I-26 near mile marker 199 are back open following a wreck Friday night.
Troopers say a Dodge Caravan blew a tire, then ran off the right side of the interstate around 9:30 p.m.
SCHP troopers say the driver was air-lifted to MUSC, and three passengers in the vehicle were also taken to the hospital.
The extent of those injuries have not been released.
At one point, authorities had shut down all eastbound lanes as two medical helicopters landed in the area.
Emergency crews with the fire department were also spotted assisting in the incident.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
