CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office has launched a new mobile App which officials say will improve interaction with citizens in the county.

CCSO officials say the app, which can be downloaded for free on any Android or Apple devices, will allow users to easily submit crime tips to the sheriff's office.

A press release states that the feature on the app does not replace calling 911 in an emergency and should not be used to dispatch a deputy or officer to a call for assistance.
