NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police say officers have arrested a man suspected of robbing a pharmacy Thursday afternoon.
Investigators arrested Joshua Cathey and charged him with robbery.
Shortly after 5 p.m., police officers responded to the CVS at 1506 E Montague in reference to a robbery.
According to the pharmacist, a man approached the counter with a note which stated, “30mg Oxycodone give it to me you’ll die or they will kill me.”
Authorities say the pharmacist complied with the demand and the suspect fled the store. The pharmacist reported recognizing the suspect as being in the store this past weekend.
Officers were then able to identify the suspect and locate him at a home on Upjohn Road.
