RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Fire crews responded to multiple apartment fires Thursday.

Crews responded to the 4000 block of Midlothian Turnpike for reports of a person trapped inside. Smoke was seen coming out when crews arrived. After clearing the scene, no one was found inside and there are no injuries reported from the fire. An adult and two children have been displaced by the fire.

Crews also responded to the 3500 block of Bolling Road in Eastern Henrico around 10:34 a.m. An adult female in the apartment was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The surrounding apartments were not affected. Investigators say the fire was caused by an electric candle warmer.

Crews responded to a third fire in Petersburg around 11:17 a.m. A fire started on the second floor of a two-story apartment building on Roundtop Avenue. Two people were displaced by the fire, and one woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The surrounding apartments were vacant.
