3 arrested in Decatur spice bust

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Three people are in jail after Decatur Police busted a spice operation.

Authorities investigated Christy Orr and her son, Decorius Orr, for the past few months. Police believe thousands of packets of synthetic marijuana were sold by the pair during the investigation.

Both suspects were arrested Thursday during a traffic stop.

On Wednesday, police also arrested Maurice Summerville who was connected to the investigation.

All three received several charges including distribution of a controlled substance.

The suspects were transported to the Morgan County Jail.

    Charleston police officers are crediting a concerned citizen for four arrests on Tuesday morning.A department spokesperson said they received a tip about several men with handguns along Norman Street at around 1am.After a responding officer tried to pull over a vehicle with several males inside, the men fled on foot.
