Porter-Gaud's KJ James, who's been one of the premiere high school basketball players in the Lowcountry the last few years, finally ended his college recruitment on Friday when he committed to play at Abilene Christian.
James, who played 5 seasons on the Cyclones varsity team, had also reportedly been in contact with College of Charleston and Tulane among others.
He was huge for Porter-Gaud in his senior season averaging over 27 points and 13 rebounds a game helping the Cyclones to a 17-7 record. He also became the school's all-time leading scorer with over 4,000 points scored.
The 6'5 forward will head to a Wildcats team that recently moved back to Division 1 and went 11-20 in the Southland Conference last season.
