CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston Police are looking for a suspect who they say faked an injury as part of an armed robbery at a James Island pharmacy over the weekend.
Authorities say the robbery occurred at Rite Aid located at 325 Folly Road just before 6 p.m. Saturday.
An incident report states the male suspect walked to the pharmacy area, where he told an employee he had a firearm and wanted prescription pills.
Police say surveillance pictures show the suspect initially wearing a sling on one arm and later swapping the sling to his other arm, making the injury appear fake.
The suspect then fled the store.
