Police investigating Mt. Pleasant pizza joint armed robbery

MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) -

Mt. Pleasant police are searching for an armed robbery suspect after a Little Caesars employee was reportedly attacked outside of the pizza joint Monday morning.

Police say the armed robbery occurred around 9 a.m. at Little Caesars Pizza restaurant on Bowman Road. An employee told police he was in the parking lot when he was attacked by a male suspect.

According to an incident report, the victim was "jumped" by a man who had an unidentifiable weapon in his hand. The suspect was able to snag an undetermined amount of cash from the victim before hopping in a gray Nissan Maxima with Rick Hendrick paper tags, which was occupied by a second person.

Police ask the public to alert the authorities if you spot the vehicle, and to not approach the suspects.
