ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The driver of an ambulance was charged with making an improper turn after a crash involving a tractor trailer on Highway 176 in Orangeburg County, according to a spokesman for the Highway Patrol.
The ambulance responded to an earlier crash on Highway 176 in Berkeley County and was transporting two people from that accident to an Orangeburg hospital, Lance Cpl. Joe Jones said.
When the driver of the ambulance attempted to make a U-turn, the tractor-trailer struck the ambulance, Jones said.
No injuries were reported from the crash. The accident temporarily shut down Highway 176.
