Video shows terrifying moment for customers, employees at Hanahan armed robbery

HANAHAN, SC (WCSC) - Police in Hanahan are hoping the release of new surveillance video in an armed robbery will help them make an arrest in the investigation.

The video is from the inside of Pappy's Restaurant on Carolyn Street from early Saturday morning.

In the video, you can see two masked men dressed in all black burst through the door just after 4 a.m.

One of the suspects is seen immediately pointing his shotgun in a man's face.

Video shows the other suspect, who is armed with a handgun, grabbing the waitress and heading straight for the register. The waitress identified the suspects as two unknown males wearing all black clothing, blue medical type gloves and masks.

In the video, a family is seen sitting nearby, trying to stay quiet until the ordeal is over.

According to the waitress, the suspect armed with the gun made the victim open the cash register, and took all the cash inside.

Eventually the two masked suspects leave and the waitress calls 911.

A K-9 unit was able to track the suspects near a grass field off of Dobson Street and Remount Road.
